Last night I stayed late until 2 o'clock in the morning

watching Alexandria, Indonesian movie, in SCTV.

I was completely wrong when I thought

it is a smale scale Indonesian movie...turned out Alexandria isn't that bad...

one thing for sure is: Alexandria definitely is not kampungan".

My deepest apology to Julie Estelle, Fachri Albar, and

Marcel Chandrawinata who played as Alexandria, Rafi and Bagas.

Actually the story itself is an old plot one, cliche' perhaps.

Two guys and a girl, there's bound to be a love triangle.

But in those 3 moie stars, the cliche' roles aren't that cliche' after all

because the played the roles very weel (IMHO).

Although the movie started rather slow, but in the middle

it goes smoothly and understandable.

For me, there are so many lessons learned watching Alexandria.

Let's see...

There's a friendship lesson..

Alexandria, Rafi and Bagas friendship. Rafi and Bagas friendship. Bagas and Alex friendship. Their friendships who were in near collision when Bagas who's in love with Alex had to be heart broken when he knew Rafi and Alex are in fact a lover, soon to be married.

There's a "loving someone and to be loved in return" lesson..

When Dhira (played by Kinaryosih) returned and snatched Rafi from Alexandria by saying Rafi was responsible with the death of their unborn child.

But, then Dhira realized that you can't make a man loves you thought you make him stay by your side.

There's a honesty lesson..

How you have to tell someone that you care for him/her, no matter what the result is.

There's a scene when Alex said to Bagas:

"Justru itu Gas, gue gak pernah tau perasaan loe. Padahal gue nunggu eloe menyatakan itu. Tapi loe gak pernah berani untuk bilang, bahkan Rafi temen loe yang loe bilang pengecut itu berani untuk bilang kalo dia sayang sama gue."

(something like that..hiks, that scene made me cry).

And there's also when Bagas confessed to Rafi and Alex that he was the one who made the whole story (he was the one who made Dhira did what she did).

There's a "learning to let go" lesson.

When Bagas finally let Rafi and Alex be together.
